  1. Hi Jean, and many thanks for your video. I understand this is free content for LinkedIn optimization but let me introduce you to the real world of LinkedIn. Many things can be said but I will briefly go through the main points you are completely off track: A. Not having a LinkedIn picture is useful sometimes as you may either want to avoid social bias from others on how you look while focusing on your professional expertise I don't know if you pay attention, but there is an increasing trend among LinkedIn members not to have a LinkedIn picture (especially among senior managers) B. Not optimizing the wording, having few words in your previous job descriptions or not having a description at all is sometimes a beneficial strategy as most of the job-related descriptions are located in your resume. Thus when applying for a role you have the chance to impress the recruiter but not using the most common LinkedIn words that he/she probably sees probably every day. Btw, the most common research technique when someone wants to enrich a resume is to search how most of the users report what they have done on similar roles and use different wording in reporting similar accomplisments. In the end, how many boring repetitive LinkedIn profiles and "awesome" or "different" profile pics and self or job descriptions are out there only because they are trying to "optimize".
