  1. Oh man and holy shitballs, can I relate to this. I'm a freelancing photo and filmmaker and get to do pretty cool stuff, like travel around, meet cool artists etc. which is awesome and fun (although lot of work and hustle behind as always). But so many friends or even strangers on social media comes to me and says I'm "lucky" to found my thing and being good at it and get to do what I do and they wish they want something like it. And when I tell them to go out and try stuff and taste it like you put it, they are like "meeh..idk".

Then I just reply: Then wtf are you sitting here complaining and being jealous for? First of all, I'm not lucky to find what I love. I tried a lot of things and I would keep try until something caught me. Second, I worked hard for it and sacrificed a lot of comfort and shit to make it happen. I've slept on people's floors, doing deals to get a roof over my head for a week, eating crap, working from home (if I had one), on buses, trains, benches. I took boring extra jobs so I could buy gear or travel to make shit happen, I contacted agencies, artists, companies etc. etc.

So I just had the courage to try out a lot of things and not being scared of dropping it if it wasn't for me and find something else. And once I found photo and film, I dared to go for it and replace standard shit like a nice home, some savings, a driver licence, a car, a nice meal out with friends everyday etc. for work and the creativity I wanted.

So next time they tell me how they want it, I'll send them this video and if they are ready to go out and try shit, good! If not, they can shut up and go back to their comfort zone! 😉
