Your Taco Tuesday is about to get a whole lot better thanks to a new listing for every taco enthusiast’s dream job. Moe’s Southwest Grill is looking to hire a Chief Taco Officer—and social media can’t help but jump at the opportunity to apply for the social media-savvy position.
According to a press release, the Mexican restaurant partnered with Monster.com to begin the search for a CTO, who will help promote their new Three Amigos tacos. Moe’s Chief Taco Officer will embark on the restaurant chain’s two-week Taco Tour, according to the job posting, and “will hop on a Moe’s food truck and travel around to several cities throughout the country, sharing their love and knowledge of tacos with our fans in June 2018.”

The skills needed for the coveted position, besides loving tacos, include a sense of humor, passion for social media and time to embark on the tour. Additionally, applicants must be a member of Moe’s Rockin’ Rewards program, the perks of which include complimentary nachos for signing up and free birthday burritos. To apply, Monster states in their job posting that Chief Taco Officer hopefuls simply:
- Sign up with the Moe’s app to be a Rockin’ Rewards member (it’s free – plus, did we mention you get a free burrito on your birthday? This is not a drill.)
- Pick a social platform (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and tell us why you’d be the perfect fit for Moe’s Chief Taco Officer.
- Make sure your post is public and use #MoesCTOContest.
The temporary gig’s perks include unlimited tacos, travel arrangements, trip to the restaurant chain’s headquarters, free swag, a $1,000 “fun budget” and, of course, getting to taste the latest addition to the Moe’s menu. “Moe’s Three Amigos tacos – chicken, steak and carnitas – are prepared on fresh corn tortillas and topped with pickled red onions, queso fresco, avocado crema, cilantro and shredded cabbage,” Ciarán Duffy, Moe’s executive chef, said in a statement. “We crafted the new menu item to maximize the flavors that our fans crave in a unique street-style taco inspired by Southwest cuisine.” Taco ’bout awesome!
