Want to know about Google AdWords and be recognized for your knowledge?

Here I am, giving away some tips to do that…

Recently I have encountered Google AdWords because of my company’s marketing strategy.

As a data analyst, I thought I needed to learn at least the basics of this thing so that I can cope up with the analytics part of this.

So when I went to the “Academy for Ads” site, I was literally overwhelmed.

There are 6 courses in the tag of Google AdWords, and I didn’t know which one to take for understanding the basics of AdWords.

So after researching for a while on Google, I got to understand that, these courses or certificates are covering different topics for different types of ad formats.

And thankfully there is only one fundamental course which is the prerequisite for taking the other courses.

That means when you pass the fundamental course, you get the access to take other courses and pass them one by one as you want.

So I first took the Fundamental course.

First I understood the basics from their given lessons and then learned from 1 or 2 question papers from previous AdWords exams. I took help from this site to learn as they have covered almost every sector of the exam.

Then I took the practice exam here to see how well I was doing.

After 2 or 3 days of learning, I seated for the exam.

The AdWords Fundamentals assessment consists of 65 questions and takes 90 minutes to complete and You’ll need a score of 80% or higher to pass.

I was able to finish the exam in 30 minutes and scored 86% by this very little preparation I took.

Then I started to prepare for Search Advertising Assessment.

I took the similar approach there.

Took their given lessons and read these question-answers.

Then took the final exam here

The AdWords Search Assessment consists of 100 questions and takes 120 minutes to complete and similarly, you’ll need a score of 80% or higher to pass.

I was able to finish the exam in 45 minutes and scored 90% this time because this exam was literally much easier than the first one and I was more experienced in AdWords than the first exam.

Now, I am planning to seat for the Google Display Advertisement Assessment by next week by taking the similar steps and hopefully pass this time also.

Although these exams do not determine how much you actually know about Google AdWords or how much you can make it work but for initializing your journey of this overwhelming advertisement worlds, it’s a good start for learning and assessing yourself.

And if you are a digital marketer, this certifications can be a great achievement for your professional milestones although you need to have practical experiences in AdWords too…
