Get the Word Out By Starting a Podcast

We’re rapidly approaching the halfway mark of 2018 and the times are changing faster and faster.

One of the fastest and most convenient ways people are consuming information is through podcast.

Here’s are a few statistics that show why you should start a podcast:

So roughly a little more than 6 out of 10 Americans have heard of a podcast. This number will only continue to rise with each passing day. Humans value time more than anything and podcast are a huge time saver.

The amount of multitasking that can be done while listening to a podcast is why it’s gaining so much popularity.

An increase of 6 million people listened to a podcast weekly in 2018 than in 2017. This is a prime example of how podcasting is only going to get more popular.

What would you rather do: read the newspaper for an hour or listen to the newspaper for an hour while working out?

Some of you probably said read the newspaper. There’s a ton of these people out there. There’s nothing quite like reading a newspaper on paper and reading a paperback book. Some things never go out of style. But when it’s all said and done, the value of time can’t be ignored.

All in all, you can expect to see the number 6 million to increase with the passing of time.

No matter your business or your interest, a podcast would be super helpful. The younger demographic is catching on to the podcast hype train.

Let’s say you’re a chiropractor. Chiropractic may seem boring to some people, but with podcasting, you can get really creative.

Do a weekly show with 10-minute episodes and just showcase your knowledge of the field.

Then once you prove yourself to others, and your following starts to grow, maybe do a call-in show where people can call in asking you what’s wrong with their arm or something. Then you can suggest exercises for them to do.

Podcasts ideas:

  • Weekly call-in show

People call in with questions and you provide the answers.

  • Have a guest for each episode

Each new episode you have a guest on the show. I want to use the chiropractor example once more. You can have other chiropractors on the show or people from a completely different industry (i.e. marketing, sales, etc.) and discuss the differing industries.

  • News

Each episode you discuss the latest news and give your take on it.

  • Sports

Talk about the latest news in sports and give your 2 cents.

Basically, whatever you’re interested in, you can make a podcast based around it. Why not go for it and create something that you already enjoy talking about? Let the world know your thoughts!

Conclusion

People are all about bettering their lives. If you can provide value, prove your worth without asking for anything, and simply provide entertainment, then you will win. Podcasting is a great way for you to show what you’re all about…
