American Idol: Maddie Poppe Delivers In Performance Of Original Song ‘Going Going Gone’ For Finale

On American Idol, Maddie Poppe performed her original song, “Going Going Gone” for the finale. “Going Going Gone” was released on Friday and is already climbing the iTunes music chart. The tune was written by a trio of talented songsmiths: Mitch Allan, Lindy Robbins and Julia Michaels.
Luke Bryan said that Maddie felt the most comfortable out of the three. Luke said that he could relax watching her. Luke said Maddie delivered a solid performance. Luke thought she did a great job. Lionel Ritchie said that Maddie is in the sales business and that she felt the most comfortable.
Katy Perry backed up both gentlemen. Katy said that they are trying to prepare her to bring her A game in the real world. Katy believed that Maddie has a real chance to survive. Katy thought Maddie’s song was the better of the three original songs. Katy noted that it is up to Maddie to get that wingspan.
