On American Idol, Catie Turner came out and sang a strong and interesting cover of “Oops!…I Did It Again” by Britney Spears. It felt like a 70s spin on the song. The contestants were choosing songs from the year that they were born. Nick Jonas served as the mentor for the performance.

Katy Perry said that was one of the most interesting versions of the song. Katy called her Amy Winehouse singing a Spears song. Katy noted Catie’s personality how it was different from anyone else. Luke Perry said that he wants her to remind herself that she is a star. Luke wanted her to be that star.

Lionel Ritchie said that for some reason Catie has it in her head that she is not quite there. Lionel noted that Catie is bringing a unique style and that Catie should own it. Lionel said that he loved the performance.
